Carl Landry

In the mid-1980s, Carl Landry began to work at St. Michael's Museum on a special works program. Carl quickly gained expertise in genealogical research and a widespread knowledge of Miramichi history and lore. Many family histories became available due to Carl's thorough searches and the family files section expanded considerably from this time. Besides Carl's role as curator and genealogist at St. Michael's Museum, the Miramichi Natural History Museum, and the New Brunswick Community College at Miramichi became venues of his work and interests. In 1989, Carl was awarded an Honourary Life Membership in St. Michael's Museum Association. The Association and the community at large were shocked and saddened by Carl's sudden passing on September 21, 1997. R.I.P.
